Singer/songwriter Ashley Carpenter is releasing her debut album on Creative Soul Records. It's the title track from her album 'Swimming through Sunshine'.

It is a rare occurrence that a gallery will host a residency. And when I heard about this I jumped at the chance to follow the artist from his arrival through his shows and his process. The goal was to create several short 10-minute segments but my resources dried up and was only able to produce two segments.

I still have the footage should someone wish to commission me to finish. Sun Xun created an astounding body of work at Sean Kelly Gallery in a very short amount of time. It was less than six weeks. It was amazing to see him create paintings, books and a huge animated projection.
